“Fall in love with the process, and the results will come” Anonymous Special Feature: Why do we read? |
Not only does reading reduce stress, and improve focus and imagination, but it can also make you smarter. Every once in a while, choose a book that's more challenging and with the more books you devour, you'll improve your knowledge and conversation skills. Drop by the library and browse the young adult fiction section or read an autobiography of your favourite music artist, or if you're an avid reader then perhaps it's time for you to experience a 19th or 20th century classic read, such as Oliver Twist, Wuthering Heights, A Room with a View or Fahrenheit 451, Pride and Prejudice, 1984, Frankenstein or Jane Eyre. ~Mrs. Munro

Special Feature: Jazz Night & MusicFest Nationals |
One word to sum up ND’s first annual Jazz Night: success! The band was able to raise money for their trips to competition, as well as giving friends and family a wonderful night full of fantastic music! Mr. C. says it was a great opportunity for our musicians to perform in front of a live audience and for showgoers to fully experience the bands in action. He felt both bands have done an amazing job to showcase their talents developed throughout the year, and hopes the Jazz Combo will perform well at Nationals, hopefully coming home with a gold! Best of luck to our ND Jazz Combo at Nationals in Ottawa, GO Irish!
