Notre Dame's Christmas Fundraiser!

Under the guidance of Mr. Nason, Mr. Bozzelli, and Mr. Giusti, construction, horticultural, co-op, and business students are collaborating to raise money for Notre Dame and charity. Using our students’ creative abilities and talents along with the equipment and resources available at our school, we have various wood Christmas décor items for sale, designed and produced by Notre Dame Students. They include engraved Nativity sign; whimsical “Let it Snow” and “Merry & Bright” signs; Santa gift tags; and name tags for stockings or your Christmas mantle! Our coop student, Megan Schlueter designed and created many of the pieces and in the process learned how to operate the CNC machine and laser engraver! We will continue to provide our students with real world cross curriculum opportunities to learn and contribute to our community. Look for our products, which can be purchased via SchoolCashOnline!

Mental Health & Wellness Update
Anxiety is a common response that most of us experience from day to day. Sometimes it is hard to understand why one thing might cause us more anxiety than another thing. Here is a great video from Anxiety Canada that explains anxiety and how as a society we have moved from being scared of an actual danger to being scared of a perceived danger.
Here are some apps that might be helpful for students in working through their anxiety. |

Parent Resources:
It is hard sometimes as a parent/caregiver to decipher if the behaviours your teen is exhibiting are age/developmentally appropriate or if the behaviours are more worrisome and concerning. Below are two great resources from School Mental Health Ontario to help parents/caregivers make that decision. Also, there is a chart displaying some of the developmental milestones teens experience through the years.
